Breadcrumb

What a big world! At least we think it is. Traveling by air seems to mask the vast distances that separate the places we visit. We can take a nap and wake up 4 hours later on the other side of an ocean. But what happens if you travel by land and sea instead of by air? By keeping our feet on the ground (and on trains, boats, cars, buses, bikes, and the like), we hope to gain a real appreciation for how big the world really is.

We realize that traveling around the world doesn’t exactly qualify as an eco-conscious thing to do, even if we aren’t flying. But with so many wonderful and eye-opening things to discover out there, it seems a shame to always stay within striking distance of home. So even though we won’t always have the smallest carbon footprint, we are willing to do what we can, and avoiding air travel is a part of that.
