Good movie, if you don’t consider the plot and the dialogue. However, this is about a blog avatar. If you’d like a little photo of yourself to appear when you comment on people’s blogs, like wewander.ca, it’s easy! Go to gravatar and sign-up. The photo is related to whatever email you sign up with. So whenever you type in your email to a site like ours it will automatically appear! FYI.
What to wear. A dilemma I face every morning. Back home I’m the type of person who tries on 5 different outfits before walking out the door with my shirt on inside out. You would think this would be an easy decision for me now that I’m traveling. I have an extremely limited selection from which to choose. Pants A or pants B? Shirt A or shirt B? Not so.
Although I’ve never considered myself stylish per se, I like to think that I have style. Fashion is a means for expressing said style. What you put out there for the world to see influences not only other peoples impression of you but more importantly your own self-confidence and outlook. Fashion contributes to feeling good about yourself and feeling good about yourself is important, even when living out of a backpack. Especially when living out of a backpack.
I am fortunate enough to have family scattered across parts of the globe, many whom I have yet to meet. Our travels provide the perfect opportunity to get acquainted. This is why we found ourselves in a postcard-perfect country home in the Casentino Valley of Tuscany. We were visiting my second cousin Shirley, originally from the Isle of Man, and her husband Carlo. I’m extra fortunate to have family in such breathtakingly beautiful places and to be so well taken care of upon visiting.
A very kind and generous lady at the fabulous 4 star Biarritz campground donated her prepaid WIFI card to us as she was leaving today. This gave us a great opportunity to do some website maintenance and updates. Hooray! We shall pass on her generosity somehow, somewhere.
À la Nick Hornby à la High Fidelity we’ve decided to compile several on-going lists of “top fives”. It’s very tricky to choose just five and will get more and more so as the days pass by but they are fun so we shall try. They’re scattered throughout the site on the breadcrumb (compass rose icon), photos (camera icon) and gear (suitcase icon) pages.
We’ve also put up three new albums on the photos page, from Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris.
What else…hmmm…not much! Please keep reading. We love knowing we’re being watched for some creepy reason. The reason, as Mark mentioned in an earlier post, is because it makes us feel connected to home. Aw.
