A couple of days ago our big, yellow truck arrived in Cape Town. This will be our home for the next four months. Looks pretty sharp eh? Only two more sleeps until we climb aboard and drive away. We’re madly checking things off of our to-do list, and meeting many new people as our group starts to gather at our hostel.

They call those Berlin Hiltons in Banff, only they are a bit more slender and red. You will have to give it a name, like “la maison jaune” or “M&M cottage”. Big, yellow truck doesn’t sound homelike enough.
I hope you guys have an amazing trip! Can’t wait for the updates.

It sure looks like a Kanata yellow garbage truck to me! I like it and am relieved to see it’s not being pulled by donkeys. How about calling your new home away from home POPCORN II. Enjoy your new digs, and the wonderful adventure you are about to begin. Love Mama Kate

*Clearly* your truck’s name is SCANIA!
I’d be interested in seeing the link to the website/organization/company that you booked your Africa adventure through (you know, for stalking purposes).
I hope you’re having a great time meeting everyone that you’ll be traveling with. How fun! I’m thinking you shouldn’t tell them about your website or how else will you tell us funny stories about them?

Wow look at how many months of adventure you have in the archives already. Time sure flies when you are having fun! Scania could be shortened to Annie. Have fun in her.

My Dad told that looks like a bus he used to ride in back from the Farm to various places. Looking forward to the next pictures.
